Core Beliefs
The following are the core beliefs of Living Well Church | Salem, VA based on the foundational truths taught in the bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these biblical doctrines.
God
There is one eternally existing God who has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible, and is therefore worthy of all glory and praise. God is perfect in love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is unchangeable and therefore is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
God's Word
The Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
Mankind
Human beings are born with a fallen nature, and are, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
Sin
The finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
Salvation
The atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
Sanctification
That believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
Ressurection
Our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgment will take place.
